The Sheriffhales Shuffle is an annual multi-terrain race that is now in its fifth year. The event is about 7 miles and is run mainly over dirt tracks in the beautiful countryside between Sheriffhales, Lilleshall and Newport. Some of the tracks can be a bit muddy in places but overall the route is fairly dry. There are a few minor hills to negotiate as well.
Funds raised by the race normally go to the upkeep of the new village hall, but this year all proceeds will go to Severn Hospice.
There are toilets and changing facilities available and a commemorative token given out to all finishers. Food stalls will also be set up for pre and post refreshments.
“PLEASE NOTE: Some of the route goes over private land and is not available to run before the day of the race. Please respect the wishes of the local farmers who kindly make available their fields each year”
